The University of Valladolid (UVa) is one of the most important higher education centers in Spain. UVa manages around 850 research projects funded through competitive public R&D&I calls (European, national or regional), and approximately 500 contracts and agreements aimed at knowledge and technology transfer. UVa has a long experience in international projects in most research disciplines. UVa has its human resources policy fully aligned with the Charter and the OTM-R based Code for Researchers. UVA has been awarded the “HR Excellence in Research” seal of excellence by the European Commission.

UVa TermoCal has more than 30 years of experience performing research in 1) Fundamental Metrology and 2) Thermophysical Properties and Phase Behavior of multicomponent fluid mixtures over wide ranges of temperatures, pressures and chemical compositions.

TermoCal offers the right equipment for comprehensive thermophysical and thermodynamic characterization of gases and liquids, and an accredited laboratory for calibration of temperature and pressure devices. In its laboratories, some of the best and most accurate techniques are available for measuring properties such as phase equilibria, density, viscosity, heat of mixing, heat capacities, sound velocities and dielectric constants. These properties are needed to develop advanced molecular and engineering models, reliable standards, traceable measurements and new validated techniques.
